Well the 10r80 wasn't used with the base V6 NA engine so thats out. There is no MAF on a Ecoboost engine. The PCM will not work without the full canbus, this issue is even present in the Ford 10r80 control pack for the 5.0 which costs 2k and doesn't work right. Your not going to be doing much because you don't have the base requirements to fulfill the PCM requirements. Unless you can find a way to get 4 channel speed sensor input, electric throttle body feedback and CPS I don't see the trans even trying to engage.

I'll have a look and see what I can find off the trucks and I'll message everything here, I'm pretty sure two atleast are complete
Does that include all the safety like air bags and such
If you actually want it to start and drive, the short answer is yes. Most have done the swap by using the F150 firewall, floorpan and dash grafted into the older cab. You need to use teh dash because of CAN bus. Everything sits on the newer chassis with all sensors working. CAN bus can be an evil witch and it wants to see every input that it is supposed to see. That includes airbags and PATS. there are a few videos on YouTube of a guy that has done the swap on his Slickside F100's

I'll have to just stick with my ms3 path I need it running and driving as it's my work truck, I'll look into the 4l80, are there any other 6 speeds , having 3 ods would probably have worked on the 300 with boost, a guy ran 7 pounds and make 400lbs of torque at 2k and I'm gonna do a weekend rebuild for 14-17 lbs of boost but 500+ rpm not to stress the motor but do you have a link to that f100 I'd like to see it
Thank you for that, do you know if the megasquirt controller would work with the can bus or no, I would like the 10spd for keeping the best towing but also the best gas mileage, I'd go with a c6 if that's the absolute final option, I managed to source a 4L80 for 200$ in decent condition out of a 2500 gmc
I will be boosting the 300, I'm waiting on my megasquirt 3 as I'm going with coil on plug, as for transmission control, I would record what our new 2020 ranger does shifting for each gear and just kinda see if I can write an arduino code for it to shift for me based on tps and speed nothing else
I would be very interested to know if you ended up writing a code for the arduino to handle shifting. I have been considering a similar route, a 302 with an automatic transmission (a new 10 or 6 speed auto would be cool, but still haven’t ruled out using a manual T5 I already have from an s10) and 8.8” rear w/ 3.27 gear ratio, with 29” wheels. Recognizing this could be quite the undertaking; needing to get creative with the controller, I would like to go in further, if possible, and wire in paddle shifters, and create custom tunes, like eco/sport mode in newer vehicles, and switch between them with voice commands to cortana. As well as keep the speedo accurate by having that calculation run through an arduino or pie and being able to easily change wheel size in the calculation if I were to ever change wheel size. Any and all successes and failures you may have had with the arduino would greatly help me.
