Transmission cooler lines - Question

Quick question guys, just got a set of stainless tranmission cooler lines from inline tube.

Do I need to drain the transmission fluid to replace them or does it sit low enough in the transmission to not leak all over me if I remove the lines?

thanks. I searched the forum, youtube rather quickly and couldnt find the answer.

sorry for the dumb question.

Removing the cooler lines will cause them to leak fluid all over anything below. Draining fluid from the pan will not change that.

You will lose some fluid. Mostly what is in the coolers and lines. It won't drain all of the fluid out of the transmission.
