I noticed that the power steering on my truck had been leaking tonight. It appears to be return line from the cooler to the tank on the steel line portion-it rusted out. Napa has the correct hose for $200. Any reason I can't just use a length of 3/8 rubber hose and replace the whole line from the tank to the cooler for under $15? Being a return line it probably isn't super high pressure but wanted to check before I did that.
6ft of power steering hose, 2 clamps and 2 qts of fluid. $30. Way better than 200 for the correct oem hose. The worst part was getting to the cooler. The license plate bracket has to come off and In doing so I broke the 4 plastic clips. I used some short 1/4" lock nuts and bolts to re attach
