I went searching for some stickers on the FordTremor site and the 350's I found also had the 6,950 rating. I'm thinking they put slightly softer springs on the Tremor. Hopefully others with the Tremor package will chime in.
Edit: Found the thread below, seems that's as high as it gets for the 7.3 Tremor.
That looks like it came from the same doc I linked to above. I was looking at the Spring Specs page, which I think is for the springs themselves. The GRAWR may take into account the specific weight of the truck (note that the Tremor in the table above is a bit heavier than the non-Tremor 7.3L CC).
The sunroof is a 99# hit on payload, btw. King Ranch and Lariat both have identical package weights at ~81#, though interestingly, the Platinum pkg is only ~15#. Lighter leather in the seats?
I would guess the platinum is 15 lbs heavier than the other two packages.
I'm just going by the spec sheet - it indicates if you add the Lariat or King Ranch, it's 81#. If you add the Platinum, its 15#. There's no mention of 15# in addition to any other options / packages, so based on the way the table is written you have to assume that it's on top of the base vehicle (e.g. it doesn't say you have to add the the King Ranch weight to the XLT options of ~45#). But then the Limited doesn't list any weight difference, so who knows?
So here's a question related to the GRAWR being lower on the Tremor - Would the front 2" front lift be enough to shift a bit of weight towards the back of the truck, subtracting from the GRAWR? And, if so, would it add to the GFAWR?
I came across a document from Ford's 'eSourceBook' w/ the 2020 Specs (which I will try to attach here), and in it on page 56. the Rear Axles info is as follows:
F250 - Ford Sterling M275 Axle rated at 6,200#
F350 - Ford & Dana rated at 7,280#
On p. 60, with the spring specs, all of the F250s (with the exception of a 4x2 Gas 176.0" Trailer Tow Heavy-Duty) and the F350 with the base 17" wheels (per the footnote), get the same springs rated at 6,340# @ a thickness of 4.71". All other SRW models of the F350 w/ 18" and 20" wheels get springs rated at 7,230# and a thickness of 5.15".
As far as I can tell, these differences in the rear end are the only things different between the F250 and F350, though I do recall watching a YouTube video of a Tremor test-drive at a Ford event where the Ford engineer mentioned that the F250 and F350 Tremors have the same springs, and I think he said the F250 gets the springs from the base F350, which I'm taking to mean the base springs of the model w/ 18" wheels, or the 7,230# springs. I don't know if that also means the F250 Tremor gets the axle from the F350, as there's nothing in the doc to indicate this. The only mention of 'Tremor' in the document is for the wheels, though I think 'ORV' in the weight charts refer to it.
I also want to note that this is mentioned in the footnote of the weight charts in this document -
FWIW, I ordered a 2021 Tremor F350 7.3L Lariat Ultimate w/ Gooseneck prep, Ultimate Tow, and w/o Sunroof. The max spec payload on this F350 config is 4230#, and my dealer is expecting a payload rating of 3960# on this particular truck (spec payload - weight of options ordered). The F250 7.3L Tremor specs out at 2,880 max payload, so assuming the same weight of the options, the same config would have a max payload of around 2610# in an F250, I think.....
I have a 350 7.3L Lariat Tremor Spot Value with goose prep and no sunroof single batt and have a rated payload of 3820 so 3900 ish is a good estimate. I do have the split bench which think adds some weight over the council. I weighed the truck on a DOT scale and the 3820 seems low since with the 3/4 tank of fuel myself, my son and tonneau cover tipped the scale at 7580Lbs. By my math had 3720 payload left over. I weigh about 250lbs if skip a meal, so even over estimating fuel weight down 70 lbs, 70 lbs tonneau and 60 Lbs for kid and car seat actual payload is probably closer to 4000lbs before hitting 11300lbs total weight.
The loaded 250 Tremor Lariat Sport I drove had 2783lbs capacity and it had almost every option available except power boards. Didn’t weigh it though to check the sticker. As far as the Tremor goes it is a special situation since all of them get the Dana rear axle and 5 leaf pack springs out back regardless of engine or 250/350 choice.
I'm just going by the spec sheet - it indicates if you add the Lariat or King Ranch, it's 81#. If you add the Platinum, its 15#. You say “you have to assume” it’s not in addition to the other two packages, but obviously I don’t have to assume that, since I already started that I assume differently. Lol. The platinum has everything the other two models has plus some. So there is no way the other two are 50 pounds more. Hence my assumption.
