Payload Rating

Please post what your driver's door jam sticker states as your payload as well as your configuration. F250/F350, 6.2/6.7, Short Bed/Long Bed, Cab Type (Regular/Super/Crew), and anything else that might affect payload rating. I have a F250, 6.2,SB,Crew Cab

That truck sure is light! 10,000-3322=6678#. My F450 weighs 14,000-4753=9347#, that's 2569# more. I didn't realise that there was that much variability is super duty weight.

Has anyone put their truck on a scale yet to see if the payload sticker matches the GVWR less the actual weight ?

I, and several others have. 14,000-4753=9247. Scale confirms this.

I have a Lariat with spray in liner, 5th wheel prep, fx4, 20 inch rims, long bed, chrome package, extended boards, my sticker says 3130. Kinda disappointing actually.

If it's a 6.7, standard GVWR, the payload will be around 3200# depending on other options. For example, the 5th wheel hitch reduces sticker payload around 150# if you get it. Weight will be GVWR-payload without any driver or cargo, tanks full.

That's what I was afraid of, I'll have to go with a DRW for my fifth wheel camper, otherwise, I won't have the capacity to take any passenger with me !!
So now I'll have to decide on a DRW 350 or 450.

I strongly recommend the F450. The wide track axle with its tight turning is worth it alone. The commercial tires, bigger brakes, and nice stance are a bonus. Personally, I like the 4.30 gears and get relatively good mileage with them.

The downsides are $3k more, possibly higher insurance, tires follow ruts on bad roads, fewer tire options, and no TPMS. The F450 is also about 500# heavier than the F350 DRW. My payload (loaded KR) is 4751. With 900# of people / dog, 150# hitch, 75# tonneau, 2600# pin, and 250# firewood, I have 775# of payload left. I'd be several hundred pounds over if I got the SRW.
