Hood Latch Spring
I have a '76 Highboy. Someone before me put a 78-79 hood on it, which is fine, but it doesn't have the spring on the hood that pops it up when the latch is released. I can buy the spring from LMC but not the clip that secures it to the hood. Could someone take a close up pic of the spring mounted to the hood and post it here? I can't seem to find a 'P' clamp small enough to hold it. I'm wondering if Ford used something else, and what I might use to hold the spring to the hood. Thanks.

Found this pic in a google search which ended up bringing me back to FTE. My spring was missing too and I had to get the retainer clip and screw from a used parts source. Even though I hadn't had one of these trucks since the early 90s the old hood opening habit never went away and I just couldn't get used to not having to push down on the hood while releasing the latch
