Hello everyone I had a water leak from the intake manifold gasket since I already have the manifold off decided to change the metal heater hose assembly. I have the old one off, I just don't know what is supposed to keep the hose on. It just slides over the pipe coming from the water pump. I hope someone can help.
There is an o-ring that goes on that tube out of the water pump. That is it and then clamp it at the back of the engine as there is a bolt that goes through the big hole to the block and the little one is for a wiring harness to clip to.

Make sure you grease that o-ring before you place the tube on as you may find yourself leaking water on startup.
Now if that tube out of the water pump goes bad, you pull your water pump and tap that tube out into the area the water pump sets. You will have to order a new tube to place back in if it ever goes bad.

I will do that...I definitely needed to get that bit of info. Knowing how to replace that tube is golden...I really appreciate that. Really awesome of You to reply back with this additional information.
