Evening Jay! If your pulling that big plug out of your water heater and no water is coming out I would be concerned. Something is plugged. Time to stick a screwdriver or something up there. Of course if your getting rid of it then who cares. Haha
First day back at work here after being on vacation for 2 weeks up at the farm.
We finished up beets in 8 days so that was nice. Only casualties were a few bearings on the beet lifter, a clutch brake in a Freightliner M2 and the #1 injector in an N14 on the truck I drive.
Moved over to corn and we had a combine unloading auger gear box fail so that slowed things down. They should be done tonight. Going from 2 12 row combines to 1 really slows things down. The case dealer was dropping off the demo last night as I was leaving that they were supposed to drop off earlier in the day.
Made it home by 9:30 last night. I'm beat! The extra play money is nice though.
Thirsty Thursday is here so have a cold one and stay hydrated!
And don't forget to blow out your pump. I just unhook the fittings and blow air in there to remove the water. If there is a small amount of water in the bottom of the water heater it won't hurt. It will just freeze on the bottom. Main thing is to get the water out of the lines so they don't crack. I bet even if there was a tiny amount in the lines it would just freeze up or down the line. If it had no where to go then it could burst the line. That Pex pipe is pretty tough stuff.
