I have not done it yet. Doesn't seem like it should be difficult. Get the tank as empty as possible (really not that hard to do and doesn't take to much driving either). If you don't have skid plates it should be easier. I have heard that to add the factory skid plate can be a pain, because of fastener access, so I am guessing that adds to the fun. Alternately I guess you could remove the bed (seems like more work).
My buddy just had the same issue on his '19 6.2 powered truck. He was having cranking times in excess of 40 seconds. Dealership replaced the fuel pump, problem solved. I would go for the "drop the tank" method.
Nail on the head, it’s the fuel pump... the other issue here is the evap canister though, when you fill it with fuel does the pump click itself off constantly?
Known issue, fuel pumps are on national back-order. My 2019 was on back-order for so long the truck was traded in before the fuel pump ever showed up (it had been on order for 3 months).
