Hay Fellows,
I have a 89, 7.3 IDI, F250 and just replaced my Manual Fuel pump with a power pump. The truck starts up fine, right after the plugs stop cycling but after i go for a drive and shut her off she becomes hard to start and somtimes won't start! Is my new pump flooding the engine or is there somthing that might cause this other than the fuel?
Thanks
Hi Dave
I changed the the fuel filters and the water seperator only a week ago. As for fuel addatives i have been runing the Lucas fuel addative as our deisel here is the ultra low sulfer and i heard from a friend that it is hard on the older IDI engines.
Thought it might be my IP but was hoping for a minor problem, lol.
Thanks Dave, By the way this is a great resource for ppl with IDI engines. The is no one here in canada's north that knows as much or can reply as fast a the people on this site!
I'll let you know how the switch over to a new IP goes.
