I’m deep into the head job on my 1988 F150 4.9 / 5 Speed.
I ordered everything from rock auto, even motor mounts cause I seen the intake had been impacting the passenger side firewall.
Everything looks fine and got here in record time.
Except the head bolts. Rock sent Dorman 675131 which is a 5/8 head - smaller than the 11/16 bolts that came out.
Has anyone ever used these smaller head bolts? I assume Ford used 11/16 for some reason. But rock lists the Dorman as the only choice.
