I was wondering if anyone knows of any production differences between the U.S. and Canadian built trucks. Here are some I have found.
I know the Canadian ones have the daylight running modules that are mounted behind the front bumper, drivers side which mine has but is currently disconnected.
The ones meant to stay in Canada have the metric instrument clusters.
I also noticed from looking at many on the internet it seems the Canadian ones have gray radiator core supports whereas the U.S. ones are painted the same as the body color.
Hey Desert, mine is canadian. The rad support was body color. Funny how they would bother with the DRL module on yours, but just skip the harness. Must cheaper just to build them up all the same, and skip the harness.

Yours is the first Canadian I encountered so far with the body color rad support, I guess that isn't a Canadian only thing.
My truck does have the harness it's just been unplugged and installed with a special plug connector. I pulled the plug and hooked the harness to the
module and lights came on after starting so it all still works.
My core support is gray, 1990 F250. Truck came out of Oregon.
That means it's a good chance it was built in Canada, look at your door jamb sticker. Here is a picture of mine.
It will say Ford of U.S.A. or Ford of Canada.

The plug does connect some of the terminals so everything operates when the harness is removed from the module.
My ‘87 Bronco (built in Michigan) has a gray core support while the ‘89 F-150 (also U.S. built) core support is body color.
Thanks for the response. I thought I was on to something but I guess there is no rhyme or reason as to why some are body color and some are gray.
One would think a major part like that would be consistent.

My US built 1990 F150 has the grey radiator support
My purely anecdotal observation was that the brick nose trucks 87-91 had grey paint on radiator supports and similar parts, and the OBS trucks 92-96/97 are color matched. I wouldn't be surprised if all the factory assembled parts are grey when assembled and they hit them with color after the body was assembled or some variation on that. Also, pretty much all OEM replacement body parts are glossy black for whatever reason.
