my old 06 currently has 277k miles on the original steering box and it is pretty sloppy. I tightened it up recently but its not in good shape. Ive been looking at different ones and I ran across the one from PSC. Its new not refurbished. Larger pistons 35% more torque, cheaper than reman Motorcraft and is made in Texas! The part number is PFN-SG753 for the 05-07 models
I was going to go with the Bluetop but they were out. I really wanted a upgraded one as mine has never been real good and I tow heavy. I found this at Summit. Has anyone else used these? What do most people on here go with?

My last one I got was a Motorcraft and I am very happy with it. It cleaned up the hunting
and steering wheel. The big plus about the MC is you can turn in a broken box and they
will still give your core fee back. Also with the MC box they put in a new sector shaft.
i had planned on using Blue Top but they are back ordered. The PSC seems to be popular on the jeep boards. I just ordered one. It looks alot like the HD redtop. I wonder if Red Top is sourcing the HD from PSC
How do you know your steering gear box is worn and needs replacing? I have an 06 with 149K on her with play meaning I can move the wheel left or right a bit before something happens? Sorry for the rookie question but I am curious.

The truck I was referring to in that post had less that 100,000 miles on it at that point. The new box made a significant change
in the slop at the wheel. It has heaver tires on it that I got rid or do to the noise they made on the road. So likely they added
more load to the steering gear and other hardware in the front end. However a box replacement solved the issue. When it
is on the road is tracks a lot better than it did before the change. Likely do to the load these trucks may need a box after 150,000
miles. I think it will also depend on what the truck is used for and what you have on it for tires. With the size and width causing early wear.
