Do NOT use anything from Cardone---they're complete junk. List your year and chassis in order to receive the best advice.
I'll let others describe their process but having done mine I will say its imperative to remove the Pitman arm while the box is still bolted to the frame. You can save that aggravation by buying the correct year part along with the steering box---they can be very, very difficult to remove without a lot of heat and a large gear puller.
Redhead are superior steering components if you want to spend the money---so many don't and end up with Cardone crap due price alone.
When I first got my van the gearbox was leaking from the seal where the steering wheel shaft goes into the gearbox. I loosened the coupler and unbolted the gear box from the frame. I was able to move it around without unfastening the pit-man arm and replace the seal. No more problems $4 and flushed the fluid at the same time!
