I have,what I believe is, a 1977 302 in a 1960 F100. Casting is d4de-ba. Date code is 7c26. I ordered a fuel pump for it from my local Napa. The Carter that I pulled off looks to have a shorter arm than the new one. I'm not 100% sure if the one I pulled off is correct to start with. Counter guy said all the 302 from 77 used this part number. It looks to be about an inch longer arm. Any thoughts?
Make sure to check output pressure on your new fuel pump, there are a lot of defective or out of spec pumps being sold today. 5 or 6 psi. More is not better.
