get the explorer injectors, they should be the yellow 19#, same as our truck, but they are 4 hole vs the 1 hole, your truck has, and the promotes better fuel atomizing, and better combustion, clean them up. Fuel Injection Technical Library » Fuel Injector Cleaning
Found a really good deal on a 96 explorer motor with 82,000 miles guaranteed good and warranty and its all ready out and in storage at the salvage yard.

The injectors from the truck look horrible? When you bought the junkyard engine it wasn't the whole assembly from intake to oil pan including all the sensors and fuel injection parts? The one I bought for my Bronco II included everything.

I would think that he already has a set of Explorer injectors on the Explorer engine.
Yes I got the entire engine I didnt realize the explorer injectors were 4 hole, I bought a set a reman 4 holes off ebay for my jeep sometime back and saw a pretty big difference over the stock 1 hole. Thanks for all the heplfull info from everyone on hear. I think I have all the info I need to get the explorer motor ready for my truck.
Well its time to replace them, the engine I bought to go in my 1990 f 150 was supposed to be a 96 explorer motor but turned out to be a 99. Which means a little more work for me no ports on the back of the heads for my smog pump. The injectors look really good but the plug on them is different. Can I take the injector plugs off the 99 engine and slice them in my f 150 harness for the injectors to work. Or do I need to get replacements for the 1990 f 150.
