I have a 300 i6 numbers matching 84 f150 that had a TFI distributor and an ECM computer since my purchase about 4 months ago I have ripped out the factory wiring harness and bought a painless customizable 21 circuit wiring harness I have everything but a few accessories hooked up I also bought a new HEI small cap vacuum advance distributor with true electronic ignition with that I also bought a ballast resistor and a blue wire clip DS2 ICM from advanced Auto manufacturing by BWD.
I installed everything to manufacture wiring diagrams I have read other forums about people having the same problem but couldn't find something exactly like mine I do not know if I have a bad DS2 module or a bad distributor I have no spark at all.
I don't exactly know how to test my DS2 module but when I hooked a multimeter up to it I have 8 volts going to the negative side on my coil at all times and 12 volts coming from it when cranking.
If anybody knows anything more to help would be much appreciated
Hi David - not trying to be a jerk but I punctuated your first couple of sentences. Will make it easier to digest. Thanks!
