I have noticed that my accelerator pump leaks and was going to order a new one. Is there a good kit that anyone can recommend for the 2150 Carburetor? Its for a 1982 4x4 with the 302.
Check the fuel height in the bowl? Could be a piece of grit or rust preventing the inlet needle & seat from stopping the flow? Just WAG. Make sure to check fuel pump output pressure isn't excessive. 2100 series carburetors are simple beasts.
Normal carbs its a max of 5 psi but I have heard the Edel. carbs like about 3 PSI or they flood out.
Guess the needle / seat cant work over 3 psi?

A mechanic's vacuum gauge doesn't cost very much, and it will quickly show the state of engine tune and internal condition. They also test fuel pump pressure. Lots of people like to skip over diagnostic tests in the shop or repair manuals, I include myself here. But this is one of the most important "adjustments" to a carburetor. Too much or too little fuel pressure causes problems.
Another problem with vintage or collector cars and trucks they usually aren't daily drivers, or maybe they sat in a field for 20 years, one way or another the fuel tank ends up loaded with rust and sediment, old stale gasoline turns to sludge and varnish, and then all that crap gets stirred up. It does a real number on fuel filters and internal carb passages. Modern gasoline & the additives seems to eat the internal rubber components in fuel systems quickly.
