Brake pedal hitting column

I have a CPP frame mounted master cylinder for my brake pedal and an Ididit column. The brake arm when fully depressed comes very close to the column but with a pedal pad mounted it touches. I know the brake arm is adjustable for height but I want to ensure the arm clears the column. What I am asking is:

What was your solution if you had the same problem with your brake pedal pad hitting the column when fully depressed.

I did a forum search and didn't find any solutions, and I have considered a) just adjusting brake arm to raise the pedal pad higher b) extending brake arm ear and retapping the hole
c) moving column is not an option I want to pursue as steering is pretty much wrapped up. d) making a new pedal pad with offset bolt e) having arm bent at a fabrication shop.

Thanking in advance for your solutions to this problem (pics are also very helpful).

I have clearance issues with my stock pedals and larger transmission tunnel and ended up heating and bending the arms to gain clearance.

Nice work, that really solved your problem. I will have to look into heating and bending. Thank you.

I had to heat and offset the pedal arm to clear the column and adapted the original round pad.

Mine did the same thing. I just bent the pedal arm. Good luck!

I would caution against raising the pedal as an option for creating clearance, or any other reason. It's already a long way to lift your foot from gas pedal to brake pedal in stock form, and comparing to modern cars, that's becoming an abnormal movement. In an emergency situation when you need to get to the brake pedal in a hurry, every wasted millisecond of motion could prove unfortunate or deadly. If you can find a way to lessen that transition, you will be better served by it.

heat and bend or offset\rectangular pedal pad gives you more room for your work boots.

As far as the offset pedal pad goes, does someone make these or did you fabricate your own?
