Helo every one i am new here and i have a problem my e 150 2000 engine is shaking like crazy when I accelerate and stops when I let the gas go .I only does it when maintaining speed under 70 mph.
I have change the EGR valve and the dpfe sensor and clean the EGR system.
at this time I have no check engine light on.
spark plugs and cables are new . I run out of ideas, any help will be appreciated. Thank you.
If you really have a 2000 E150 it would not have spark plug cables---that year would have COP's on top of the plugs. I sounds like you have a misfire which should illuminate the SES lamp and have a stored code that can be retrieved by a scanner.
The only reason the shaking ceases at higher speeds is the event is somewhat hidden by the higher engine RPM's making it appear to be running smoother.
Check for codes----running that rough there should be one or more in the PCM's memory.
Thank you for the reply finally some one that speaks my language, is funny that you mentioned the coils the guys at the Ford dealership culd not believe me either but in fact she has cables i did have a misfire code but it went away after the spark plugs rempleze. I have 0 codes i have run a full scan in all modules and I got nothing. I have removed all the spark plugs clean and reinstalled thinking that i have conected something wrong wich i have done on the past but nothing. Still running like crap.
[QUOTE=JWA;19480529]When did this rough running start? After you performed a task or just all on its own without warning?
If it does have a distributor-type ignition are the wires routed to the plugs in.
after changing the de dpfe got a code for insufficient recirculation and a misfire #5 after 2 miles the codes went away and the shaking started very little at first but it got worse after we chat yesterday I started thinking and realized that i never checked the gap on the spark plugs i am taking them out today give them a clean and chek the gap and see how that goes.
