Ok so I reset the computer and took the truck on a good long drive Got back and made sure to turn off radio and ac / heat and re checked codes. This time I got 67, 82, & 41
I did just buy the truck so the wrong pcm could be the issue but it is definitely giving me 2 digit codes, there is a distinct pause after the second digit is done flashing
As I said above code 82 does not apply to a Ford Truck of this era (OBS).
So either the PCM is bad as it should not give this code or the wrong PCM is installed.
Does anyone know what ID number my computer should have? I will pull the ecm today and look at all the capacitors but I am worried the PO replaces the ecm with the wrong one. When I look up a replacement from Napa they need the VIN number and computer ID number and I do not want to order the wrong one.
i believe the transmission is a E4OD the transmission pan has 20 bolts but the gear selector is missing the OD button the transmission code shows I have E4OD
With the calibration code we can tell you the numbers you should have on your PCM.
The VIN will not tell us anything.
If you have a C6 transmission you may have two digit codes.
But the "E" says you have a E4OD.

I have a 1993 Ford F-250 with 7.5l and e40d transmission.and it has the three digit codes.
I also have a 1994 F53 with a 7.5l and e40d transmission.and it has the three digit codes.
They both have a the gear selector with the OD button.
The number on the PCM Computer would be F4TF 12A650-ZA and that is the Engineering number that the stores go by and the salvage yards.
Ford does not put a part number on any part as they change it from time to time.
The Part number or service number for it is F4TZ 12A650-ZA and only the Ford dealers go by this number.
