I was driving my truck and it felt like it was missing around 30 mph going up a hill with an easy throttle. It did it twice, seems like I was able to throttle it through the second time, kinda hard to tell because it happened pretty quick. I didn't get a check engine light. Any idea what I should start checking? I thought possibly water in my fuel, I'll drain the bowl and take it on a drive to see if it reoccurs.Thought maybe transmission stuttering but it was rebuilt 8,000 miles. I'm at 269,000 miles and truck has run great, I don't know the previous owners history. Any advice appreciated. Thank you
Might have a pending code for that miss. These will not trigger the CEL. I would recommend reading codes with Forscan or Forscan Lite and an OBDII dongle. UVCH on one side or the other might be coming loose.
Thanks Jeff. I've got Forscan and the dongle. Just need to take the time to figure out how to use it. I took the truck for a 20 mile round trip today and it worked fine, no misses.
This may not happen again for thousands of miles (or get worse). With that amount of miles, o-rings are breaking down. Hit a bump and a connection at the HPOP may move and allow a leak. Do you have any oil or fuel in the valley?
