First sign of trouble to come?
Was pulling out of a Wal-mart today, went to accelerate into traffic and nothing happened, pressed down at least half way on the throttle, no response at all, tried once more, a slight cough and then away we went... Was fine from then on, has never happened before... 4000 miles on truck no issues so far.. Any ideas? Truck had a nearly full fuel load and was warm..

Well its getting to be that time of year , it sounds like your truck is developing flu like symptoms , feed it 8 ounces of diesel additive and check back in 3 days...

No boost at all....My first reaction was to look at the boost and then the tach to make sure the engine was running as it acted as if I had stepped oh the accelerator while the engine was shut off.... Nothing....Was kind of shocking...Seems like it must be fuel related somehow...

I've read about this in 2-3 other posts over the past year.
The one I remember most recently was 2horses.
A "reboot" seems to correct the issue but I don't know of a fix.

These engines are so dependent on the computer to run, a glitch is unavoidable. It's like back in the early 80's when NASA revealed to the public that the space shuttle would simply not fly without computer aided controls. At the time it was shocking, almost nothing at the time was so dependent on computer processing. It was shocking to think that lives were dependent on a computer in that way.
Now, these engines will not run without computer control, and strange things will happen on occasion.

I had the die on acceleration, waay back. Pulling out of the gun range and gave her a lot of fuel to keep up with traffic...and nothing. Then I kept the pedal done...hoping it would catch up...nope..let off and then everything worked normal. There was a Flash out...Got it and no worries. SHifts smoother and no more hesistation on accelleration.'
Make sure you have the latest flash.

File an NHTSA report right away, you could have been run over by a Walmart truck while your HPFP was choking on finely ground steel dust.
