Violent Jolt / Shutter While Driving

Violent Jolt / Shutter While Driving
Second time this has happened.
First time it happened, was during a Regen. Was just driving along, and all the sudden the truck makes a violent jolt feeling, and that's it. Doesn't shut down, no codes, like nothing happened, just keeps on driving.
Now, the other day, it did the same thing. Was pulling outta my road, just driving normal, truck jolts, and keeps driving along. No codes, no nothing. Truck was NOT in Regen mode this time.
Both times this happened, I noticed my Edge CTS2 was frozen after the "jolt", but it was NOT frozen before. I had to unplug it, replug it into the OBD and it would reboot and work just fine.
It's almost like the engine shuts down for a split second, then "pop starts" itself running again.
Has anyone else had this happen? Could it be the ECU losing communication with the Engine? But then wouldn't it throw a CEL?
Truck has plenty of power and drives just fine. Has less than 600 Miles. Been through 2 separate tanks of Fuel, so it's not water or bad fuel.

I had a problem with a ultra gauge plugged into the obd port where occasionally the truck computer would lose communication. Sometimes the truck would not start until I unplugged it. Ditched the gauge and all is well.. I have a gasser as a fyi..
