Where does my 02 sensor plug into?

Where does my 02 sensor plug into?

Ok, this is an embarrassing question.

I pulled the motor and transmission on my 1994 F-350, 4x4, C6, 5.8L. I installed a Bassani Y pipe (3") for a F-150 along with a new 3" exhaust system. IIRC, the O2 sensor on the F350 Y pipe installed farther back and hooked up to a plug mounted atop the C6. Does this sound correct? I found an open plug atop the transmission but it had offset ears on it while the O2 sensor is round without any ears. Both had 4 pins. Is this the O2 sensor plug? The only other plug I found atop the transmission seems to go to the transfer-case.

This new F150 pipe has the O2 sensor pointing toward the front of the vehicle. I found a video online that shows the O2 sensor on a F150 plugs in around the starter. I don't see an open plug in that area. Are the locations different for F150 and F350?

I wonder if I need a longer wire on the O2 sensor?

You only have 1 O2 sensor, is that right? Or is there more than 1?

Only one sensor.

You should not need a longer wire as the O2 will now be much closer to the engine, you just have to find the correct connector to plug it into. Are you installing a new sensor? Is it the same as the old sensor?

On my 94 460, the plug is white, and kinda on top of the transmission. I assume yours is similar. I'm working on it now, if you need a picture of mine, let me know.

Looks like the only open plug is white and on top of my transmission. Has to be it. Thank you!

Using the old sensor. I'm not sure if the location was moved from the OEM spot on the pipe as the PO had dual exhaust. The Bassani pipe has the sensor pointing toward the front of the truck, whereas the old location was farther back on the Y pipe and pointed up and toward the rear of the vehicle (may not be the original location).

Yeah the HD trucks have a different exhaust setup for some reason, but there is no reason you couldn't make those parts work on your truck.
