wrong plug on oxygen sensor

i bought a oxygen sensor from rock auto.my problem is that the plug is a little different.it has one of the two locating tabs in the wrong place.everything else seems the same.im wondering if i should ground the tab off.im not sure that the sensors work the same.thanks.

it is obviously the wrong part for your vehicle. Return it, check with www.am-autoparts.com where they confirm the part with the VIN.

i went back and looked at the pictures of all the brands of oxygen sensors listed by rockauto for it.i read on the net that some cars have different connectors on each side so you can't cross up the oxygen sensors.only the motorcraft and acdelcos had the tabs[in the wrong place].the other brands were tabless and seemingly designed to work on either side.
