So A couple weeks ago I noticed I had a little dip in Rpms now and then and noticed my voltage on my batteries were quite low at 11.15-12.55. I thought it might be my charging system as the guy we bought the truck from had older used batteries in it cause he didn’t really care about the truck. As well as the oem secondary alternator and a poorly reman primary. Well we changed them and the batteries as they were all reading low as well. We have brand new motor craft 850cca batteries in it now and 2 reman alternators from motor craft as well. Well now it’s reading 15.34volts steady. We are worried about an overcharging issues. As well as the instrument cluster stops working as well and the battery light comes on. Not sure if it’s related at all. But we just aren’t sure. Anyone that would shed some light is very much appreciated.

Just to be clear, What (and where) are you measuring with? Charging voltage is temperature dependent.
An accurate, calibrated voltmeter is important. The voltage at the battery posts is what counts. 15.3 is normally way too high, it would be typical at something like -20 below zero.
14.7 max. My ambulance regulator gives that amount. normal truck 14 to 14.5 Depends on charge of battery and load. Doesn't the computer on that engine manage the charging? The 6.0 was the first to do that if I remember..
Ford's design --> In the single generator system, the VR (voltage regulator) controls the lamp. In the dual setup, the PCM controls the charging system indicator, illuminates the light if a problem in the circuits is detected. The dual generators act independent of one another and rely on internal VRs.
15.5V is the target level in the design, anything higher and you've got problems with fuses, circuitry, or in the upper or lower VRs .
