Yes, My 2013 had the 500 miles warning, then at 200 miles to empty it would show on each startup until you filled up.
I never had an issue in the 7 years of ownership running it down to the 200 mile mark and filling.
This 2020 I have now uses more def when towing so I am watching the def guage on occasion.
