I've recently bought a Nilight lightbar and plan to use the included harness. My plan was to use a better quality switch, but after looking at the harness the switch included has three wire, a red, a black, and a white, while my switch has only red and black. What is this third wire for?
Did your light bar not come with an instruction/installation sheet? Can you not go online to the maker of the light bar and get more info from their website?
I have a Nlight light bar for my truck, I used a relay to tie into the third wire to only illuminate the switch when my lights are on... if you hook it straight up it will be on all of the time, even when the car is off. =-)
you best bet it to find out what all the wires are for.....not assume your light bar is wired the same as another persons. Did you not get any installation papers with the light bar?
