Well, I'm not Numberdummy, but I can help you a little.
---------
You do not have #883 orange, or the #753 yellow/red wire in your non/ac truck.
----------
#753 Yellow/Red does indeed go to the a/c mode switch, or rather, it comes from the a/c mode switch and goes to the Safety relay.
-----------
You also do not have #348 Green/white wire either. This one goes from the A/C mode switch to the A/C evaporator Thermostat, then changes to #347 Black, to the A/C clutch solenoid.
-----------
You do have #268 Red/Black, but it is wired differently for a/c. This is explained in the other thread in better detail.
----------
You do have #181 Orange coming from the fuse panel directly to the heater blower switch on non/a/c trucks. On A/C models it will go to the A/C mode switch instead.
---------
The A/C harness in question is plug and play according to the diagrams I have.
All you need to do is get one off of a 1975 through 1977 Ford Pickup with A/C. (1973-1974 1978-1979 are wired differently according to the diagrams.)
Didn't your donor vehicle have this harness?
As for getting a whole A/C harness new, I'm not too hopefull, but numberdummy might be able to help further.
