3" Receiver

Just picked up my 2020 F350 7.3, and it has the 3" hitch, are they supposed to come with an adapter for a 2"" draw bar?

My '19 didn't. Some will tell you you were supposed to get one. I went back to my dealer and they just played stupid. Went to etrailer.com and got one sent.

Buy the Curt 4508 set. Even the 3x2.5 is better than the one included by Ford. You should however migrate to the 3in where you can (and 2.5in where you can't. There is rattle with the adapters and the hitch pin will end up elongating the hole with the adapters.

Think I'm going to spend the money for a Weigh Safe 3" with 2" and 2 5/16" ball, kinda pricey, but like the set-up

Mine did too. I asked my Dealer for a 2" adapter sleeve and they gave me one, but it doesn't have a flange. I ordered a flanged 2.5 to 2" adapter from a Ford supplier but it didn't work because the flange wouldn't let the holes match up. I just ordered a B&W Tow and Store 3" shank hitch, and when it gets here in about a month that's what I'll use. It's pricey but it provides a full towing capacity.

I tack weld the 2.5" adapter in and then tack the 2" adapter to the 2.5". Don't have any of the larger hitches so no need for it and I am not battling 3 pieces moving around trying to line 3 holes up while shoving a hitch in. I have easily 6 different styles of 2" drops and damn sure am not spending the money to upgrade them all to 2.5" let alone 3".

And yes all I have ever received is the 3" to 2.5" sleeve with a new truck.

My 2019 F350 CCLB came with the 3" hitch. I found the 3" to 2.5" adapter under the rear seats. I have read a lot of stories on this site of them NOT being included with the truck. I purchased the Weigh Safe 8' drop hitch. I could have gotten away with the 6" but was unsure with the trailers I own.

Mine had the 3in to 2.5 adapter in it when I saw it at the dealer. Bought over the phone next day and they delivered it...without adapter. Called them out on it. They played dumb. I pushed back hard and low and behold. They "found" it.

Same with the cup holders for the floor attached to the center seat bottom cushion.

Bought the B&W tow and stow 3in hitch so it's all a moot point now. It was principal with me.

My ‘17 came with both.

I keep wanting a good adjustable 3” B&W or bulletproof but keep having better thing to spend 3-4 bills on. I really, really, really loathe my cheap 2” adjustable hitch but I only need it a few times a year so it sticks around.

Get the 180 hitch from Weigh safe, nice hitch and you won't have the troubles with the weigh safe scale. I know lots of us have blown the gauges, it has no accumulator and once the trailer tongue bounces the gauge blows oil.

My 2020 F350 with the 7.3 has the 2.5" receiver, you sure yours is 3"? Gassers all got the 2.5", 3" was diesel and f250 with tow package. Did you upgrade the hitch somehow to get a 3"? Ford provides the 3" to 2.5" adapter, but they don't provide the 2.5-2"
