I put the katskins in myself, not that hard once you just commit. Once I did and decided to just cut the old interior out it was a whole lot easier.
that’s the route I’m gonna go, and start with the driver seat and passenger seat to make myself commit. Im mechanically inclined, and very picky. If I had to pull the motor and do a full motor swap, or if I had to swap a tranny... I’d jump right in... my brain is just over thinking this wayyyy too much, they just need to get here and I’ll start cutting. Lol
FWIW I put in a driver's seat 8-way power from an XLT in my XL w/power equipment and it works with no wiring or anything changed.
Just bolt it in, plug it in, and it moves.
Ive read a lot of mixed reviews about this. Found a few sets of cloth XLT power seats for cheap locally... might try it before I do the katzkin interior.
What are the part numbers for the Lariat-level leather trimmed door arm rests?
You cannot buy just the arm rests. You have to buy the entire inside door panel. Not cheap considering you'll need possibly up to four depending on cab configuration. They also only come in black and camel.
I upgraded mine to the XLT 'Chrome' package version when Ford parts were much cheaper. Gives you padded arm rest, chrome trimmed door release handle and chrome trimmed panel insert. I also don't care for the black interior parts as they scuff and show marks too easily.
