I am debating replacing front lowers because they are pretty rough but I can't hardly stomach 600 ea for new steel fenders. I figure i can spend some time on them for 600. Plus my son is only 5 and this truck is for him so i guess I have a little while.

they were half that when I bought my lowers but the out fit that made mine is no longer here they closed a few years ago they don’t sell that many and if they can’t sell they won’t make them key this in your mind
can get lowers for around 150 each but the upper fenders are 600. Can get glass ones for about half that but i really dont want to go that route either.

I have looked and saw a lot of good articles on repairing rust on the outer lip and the rear of the fender, this picture is of the front toward the inside where the upper grille panel bolts to the fender. It is cracked just at the top of the fender. Would it be better to try to replace or try to weld this up.
