Odd ipr reading

Just wanted to check in with a potential issue and get some feed back from some knowledgeable folks here. Got the 2003 6.0 (yikes I know!) and have the scan gauge 2 to read sensors. The truck has been running fine but the ipr value before start up is .9% and only gets up to about 4% when starting then settles down to 1.8 when running. Definitely not a mechanic but those figures don’t seem right. Could there be a newer style ipr valve on the truck and it’s sending weird info to the scan gauge? Or is this partial evidence of some system failure in the near future?
Ficm syncs fine and gets good voltage.
Icp goes up to 1300 on cold starts but it’s fires up within 2-3 seconds of cranking.
This forum has been such a help I’ve never had to actually post a question before, it’s awesome to see such a helpful community and thanks for all the help!

What are you using to read the IPR%? Could be a setting issue on the scanner, you might be seeing volts and not percentage. I believe the IPR valve runs on a 0-5V signal so your numbers would make sense if that was the case.

1300ICP on cold start sounds about right. What is is at hot idle?

What is the IPR % value cruising down the road? I typically see 23-24% at hot idle and around 40% cruising, but I've got the newer style HPOP & ICP sensor so my numbers might mean nothing.

Thanks for the response! I’m using an obd2 reader (scangauge2), and the code for that specific reading is named “ipr duty cycle.” The description says it should read in %, but the numbers certainly do look closer to volt readings like you said...

Haven’t driven the truck over 10 minutes with the scan gauge so don’t have true hot numbers but after the cold start it sits around 800-850 psi then drops to 650-700 psi.

Double-check that you have all the digits correctly entered into the scangauge. It's easy to miss one. I use a SG2 as well.

I used this one:
TXD 07E0221434
RXF 046285140634
RXD 3008
