I have their injector vice holder and socket tool. If anyone wants to try the diy kit it’s pretty nice machined aluminum. I have no use for it. If anyone wants it send me a pm I would let it go cheap.

Thanks Jason. That is what I thought except I didn't want to here that about new! Hope that is rare. I'd go to a 80 or 100 nozzle if I could get good tuning. But I want to be able to tow my tow hauler with no problems. I still like the power of my old engine building days in the 60's. It is fun once in a while!

I thought dp tooner suggested that...

I do agree - the 4+4 wheel is a solid upgrade.

There is no good reason to go bigger than a 30% nozzle on a ‘Stage 1’ injector. Unless you’ve got a unicorn tuner that can get it dialed in on your truck.

If you want more than 320hp in a tow tune, go to hybrids. A 238/80 will run just like a 160/0 - unless you want more power, then bump the chip a few times and traction becomes a real issue.

Bonanza, I run a 160/80 (new) and my truck runs very smooth. Way better than it did on the 160/30 remans. My wife and I were talking about this yesterday or the day before . Not telling you that it is the right or wrong injector but it runs very smooth.

I just put in new alliant 160/0 injectors on my f350 and the truck runs amazingly smooth. I have jellibuilt tunes paired with riffraff 4x4 compressor wheel and kc s300 turbine wheel and the truck barely smokes at all. I think this has alot to do with the larger turbine wheel. In a 80 hp tune it will smoke if i stab the throttle but cleans up almost instantly. Very happy with this setup. I will be putting in the same injectors in my f450 tow rig once I recoup some funds. My dp tunes on my f450 have always been smoky, I have international bellowed uppies, s&b intake, riffraff 4x4 wheel on this truck as well and still smoky. No boost leaks either....

Thanks Jason, I would like to do that, I noticed you do have Cody's tunes. Would love to do this with his tunes. I'd even drive out there. It is a ways but, I feel it would be worth it.
Jstihl, thank you to. That is what I probably will have to do also. Would love to have the extra power but where I am at that might be the best bet. Coming soon.

I can second the new injectors being way better than remans.

Anywho... it's the tune, it's the tune, it's the tune. Nice HPOP! It's keeping up with some hard-core fueling demand.

That tune is like a sex change operation for your truck - it's now more your wife than your buddy. You can't punch it, you have to ease into it.

Not all injector rebuilders are equal. Some are waaaaaaay better than others.

Since ‘new’ injectors are not bench tested at all - there is still a chance you’ll get an underperforming injector.

I like the way you put that! God bless,
