have just looked at my dealer invoice on a coolant flush for my 2011 f250 6.2 liter gas motor and noticed it has a part number VC13DLD on the coolant . Looked under the hood and the coolant tank fluid color looks green to me I thought that the orange coolant was what is to be used! Since it’s the weekend and can’t call them anyone here know if this is something they use now or is it wrong. Don’t want to screw up the truck by driving it if so, Thanks.....will it hurt to top off degas with orange that I have left over from before if it’s low

This is from Ford and if takes talks about Ford Yellow antifreeze, I've used it and it looks more green than yellow .
Factory fill Coolant for 2011 was Ford Orange/Dexcool. It appears they flushed and refilled your original coolant to the new 2019+ factory Yellow. Ford identifies this new coolant as DY, we started to call it "Dew Yellow" since it looks like Mountain Dew. And it is not green and it is not the Ford gold and it is not the orange that GM developed that Ford used for several years.
It's probably most like the Toyota coolant, but there's no confirmation yet that they are interchangeable. It is a fantastic coolant, I think you get 200,000 miles. I have attached a Ford PDF that says the DY coolant may be used all the way back to 2011 in the super duties, and in my humble opinion it's the best coolest choice I have attached a Ford PDF that says the DY coolant may be used all the way back to 2011, and in my humble opinion it's the best coolest choice
The color of Mountain Dew is a good description of it, not yellow and not green. It's what I put in my 2003 F150 4.6 because I couldn't find any gold and the container said comparable with all types. I'm sure it's better than the brown crap that came out of it, I bought the truck used so may have not been ever changed.

So I stumbled into this thread and honestly have never done a coolant flush on any vehicle I have ever owned. My 2017 6.2 is new to me and I purchased it with 43K miles on it. How often is this recommended and is there any way to tell if this has been performed before. Just had my maintenance minder light up for an oil change to.
