I know Ford used the orange extended life coolant in the 11-17 trucks. And it appears Ford has added more confusion by changing the coolant color once again for the newer trucks. Before anyone says anything I know, don't add coolant based on color alone follow the proper specs.
In the video below Tom briefly talks about Organic Coolants. Is this new "Yellow Coolant" Ford is using in the new 6.7's the organic coolant referred to below? Can the earlier 6.7l engine coolant be flushed and then use this new "Yellow Coolant" without fear of gasket failure or any other problems? It appears this new organic coolant doesn't require testing like the orange coolant does.
Until Ford proves the global spec yellow I wouldn't be too excited to make the swap. You would still be fine with a ELC as Ford still continues in the F-650 & F-750 trucks.
