Interchanging rear windows

I was just wondering how difficult it was to take out the sliding window on an '86 pickup and put in a solid piece from the same year. I think I'd like to just pull the window out of another truck. If it's too difficult for a shade tree mechanic to do how much would it cost to have a pro instal it. Thanks a lot folks.

Well it's been a week and still no answers. Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts on the subject?

Hey Cameron -

Sorry I don't have an answer for you. Did you try asking this in the 1980 to 1986 Truck Forum. The guys there are very knowledgeable, but rarely venture this far down the main page.

If you'd like, I could move this thread there.
