Loud pop under hard acceleration

All too familiar sound from way back when. Turbo surge is unmistakable when you hear it. Mine would happen at around 14-15psi. I could either let off and lower boost or crowd the pedal and make more boost to make it stop. That was short lived. Went to the stupid (yep I’m a hater) 38R to cure it. Nowadays the riffraff billet wheel is an awesome cure.

Seems a little slow to build sometimes but stock except for RR wheel. This was on 80hp DD and only a couple hard accelerations then backing off due to speed.. NO pops 😂
