No they are on top of door frame glue on,they go from rear edge of window down to bottom of vent glass.,about 3ft long, can't find any info.
If you look real close there is a locating hole in the door real close to the top bolt for the upper hinge. Start on that end and work your way up along the window. There should be supplied pins with the weatherstripping kit you bought.
Grumpyinme,
Like the others mentioned, test fit before you do secure them. Keep these two things in mind. The first is to make sure the rubber isn't showing outside the door when closed, if the rubber does show, the weather stripping's service life will be shortened because it will be exposed to the ultraviolet sun rays. If the weather stripping is mounted too far inboard, you'll get wind noise and possibly have door closing problems. A last item to look for. If the replacement weather stripping you obtained doesn't have slits in it to allow air to escape, you might have to slit it yourself, to allow air to escape from the weather stripping while the door closes, without having to exert excess closing force. Lastly, if you've moved your door strike in the past, you might have to re-adjust the strike with the new top door weather stripping. Hope this tid bit helps.
