So the good news - the audio issues are squared away as reported above.
The bad news - looks like dropped lifters in both 6 and 7 cylinders. 588 miles and she's getting a new engine. Going to be another 3-4 weeks it looks like. Ford apparently wants a tear-down. Just another day in paradise.

Yah I hear you on the hammer. I don't care - it's warrantied 
You should have seen the look on my wife's face when I brought it home... and then immediately got a rubber mallet... and then she saw me going back for a small hammer... and then she saw me go back with the ball-peen...
I've had 4 vehicles with Box-Link - and 2 of the vehicles, the anchors slid right on. This particular truck i literally had to beat them into submission - AFTER I took a razor knife to them and trimmed out some of the excess casting. She finally asked me "hammers? why?" I said "don't ask if you don't want the answer." lol
You should have seen the look on my wife's face when I brought it home... and then immediately got a rubber mallet... and then she saw me going back for a small hammer... and then she saw me go back with the ball-peen...
