Ford Pass

Looking for information on the ford pass power supply. Anyone know if it has its own power supply or would it disconnect the moment the battery was disconnected? Also any specific reason why it would have been disconnected the day my my truck was towed to the dealer even though it wasn’t looked at for few days?

It shuts off when the batteries are disconnected. Your brought your truck in and it was diagnosed as a bad TCM, which would require the batteries to be disconnected and left until a new module was installed.

I'm not familiar with car dealerships - would they have disconnected the battery before the new TCM came in? I know the semi dealerships I work with will leave the truck in running condition as long as possible so they don't have to push it around...

We’re piecing together the holes in story we’re getting from the dealer. My truck was stolen from the stealership Saturday and now they can’t produce my keys. Was wondering if the ford pass had any kind of battery back up that’s all

The irony of course, is that the truck was stolen because someone heard that late model Ford truck parts like TCMs are scarce these days...

Now they can't find your keys? Wow! 100% inside job, but proving it is another thing.

Can fordpass be manually disconnected so the truck can be still driven and not tracked? Once in while I refresh the app to see if my truck location shows up. Police seem to think my stolen truck which had a bad tcm has been re vin’ed and is back on the road. I don’t see how that’s possible since ford has the tcm and nine are available.
