dreaded drained battery
I removed all the fuses in both panels one at a time, and it still has the test light lit up at the negative cable to battery. i was checking to see if the dash was still lit, or if i could see that in the day light. and i am not sure about that.
I did notice that when i turn the key off, the tach and speedo drop below 0, and then about 15 seconds later, when the blue lights turn off, they jump back up to zero. is this normal? or should they stay below zero, and the dash is powering back up for some reason.

I have read that list in multiple places. am i right to assume that the ones with the arrows are more likely to be the issue? also i notice that wen i put the key in, if i do not turn it, the power seat moves forward and backward like i am putting the key in and out. would that line up with that being the cause?
maybe because the battery was so low i was getting a lot of the BMS cycling, and making my fuse test not so valid?i think i will put a new battery in it, and then check it. the truck is new to me, it is a motocraft battery, but no idea how old it is.
If i have a good battery is 0.27 normal?
It's also a good ROT (Rule Of Thumb) to turn-off the radio, HVAC, as well unplug anything from the 12V receptacles, and turn-off/disconnect any after-market electrical add-ons BEFORE turning-off and removing the ignition key. *Would also consider turning-off the headlights' auto-lamp (but that's just me).
And in doing all this, since purchasing my 2011 FX4 new in Oct/2011, have never had a BMS issue and still have the original Motorcraft battery.
.
i do not use the auto lights, and do not have anything plugged into the outlets. and the truck is stock, just new to me.
There is a sticker on the side of the battery that says 9/14. guessing that is the MFG date.
hoping that it is just the battery i will update with what happens.
Thanks
