I was thinking about replacing my brake booster when I start putting my brake system back in. Mine is all rusted. It was working but....... but for how much longer?
The part # looks like (REMF) remanufactured........ GBD 2700179.
I can't seem to find a booster with this part #.
I see some that look similar on the parts web sites just by putting in my vehicle info.
Just not sure until y'all chime in. $100 is too much for a trial and error.
Do you mean the booster linkage that attaches to the pedal? I remember going through this with my '78 Bronco. There are three different booster/bracket/linkage configurations that I remember. All three differ enough, that you won't confuse one for the other when you pick it up at the parts store, or look at them online.
Well, it's the piece that is hidden by the bracket in the first picture above.
This bracket bolts to the firewall under the hood and the bar goes inside the cab and bolts to the pedal.
Whatever booster you use MUST match the brake pedal.
1973/79 F100/350: There are 22 different brake pedals, 19 different P/B boosters, 17 different master cylinders and 7 different clutch pedals, I kid you not!

Hmmmmmmm........ that was why I ask the above question...... COLD FEET.
