I put something up a couple weeks ago about buying a refurbished brake booster. A few folks on here said they've never had issues with a reman. So, I went looking on the old inner webs. Nothing. Zilch. Nada. Nobody has one. I've tried all the usual suspects, seriously. Does anyone have knowledge of a "universal" brake booster that could be used without too much hassle. Any help would be great. Thanks.
The brake booster subject is a daily thing, I couldn't find one either and sent mine off to be rebuilt. If you still have your original, this may be your only option.
Not sure what the big deal is they're a common part. O'rielly's has both the single and duals for around $100 with a lifetime warranty. I put one on my high boy and it works perfect.
Yeah...Autozone says they have one in stock until you try to buy it. I've already talked to the National Inventory Manager. All of their vendors are out with no date of restock. Brake Warehouse, PartsGeek and Autoplicity all took my money and refunded me about a week later with an apology, they didn't actually have the part. O'Reilly, no dice.

How many years ago did you replace your booster? O'reilly's doesn't seem to have any boosters in stock for any 70's Ford trucks anymore and nore does any other auto parts store.
See post #5, I edited in the sources 30 minutes ago.
Yeah Bill, I saw that when I went back to the thread .
Even though the Pumpkin Project is on temporary hold I'm still buying parts for the old girl. Last week I went to order a brake booster and ran into the very same problem the OP had, nobody has them. The only one that showed having it available, when you went to check out, suddenly they didn't have it. I looked up the Ford P/N and did a search and ordered it this morning.
