So far I keep running across the same thing and it says that Forscan will not work on 2014 an older models. This is what I had briefly encountered when I first looked into forscan but went with ford390 advice that it would work. Not saying it can't or that I was steered wrong but I think ford390 may only have experience with the 2015 and up models. Still waiting to hear from him to see if he has actually done this on a 2010 model F150 or not.

Okay so here is what I know so far, for 2009-2010 there is no way to change the tire size. This cannot be accomplished with IDS from what I now now as there is a conflict in the programming that Ford never addressed. The conflict appears to be in the PCM and Forscan can't adjust the PCM. Hoping to learn more soon or maybe someone else can chime in.

There has to be a way to do this because my truck had 34.5 inch tires with a stock 3.31 gear ratio and my speedometer was correct. So there has to be a way but like you I am searching and coming up with nothing.

I've done it! 2013 STX 5.0 4x4. It's taken me forever to find an appropriate speadsheet and to figure out what to click when but I've finally been able to make a couple simple changes. I enabled the Bambi Mod for my foglights and I changed the turn signal lane change flash from 3 to 6. I've been searching for a couple other things but so far no luck. It appears the 2013 is somewhat limiting with what can be changed, 2015 was the year things really started opening up.

2011-2014 share the same and then I think it goes 2015-2017 models. The 2010 is a different animal and is more limited to what you can do and can't do. I have yet to find anyone who has done recalibrated their speedometer on a 2010 or older F150 using FORscan.

Thanks, I've read that post several times in my search for answers. Even the second reply to that post, a person states it will not work on 2010 and earlier F150's.

In all my searching I found over & over that vehicles earlier than 2014 could not have speedometer correction for tire size done with Forscan. NOT TRUE!! I've done it! My speedo is now withing 1/2 mph of two different gps units and the only thing done was with Forscan.

You’re wrong in your statement!!!! Let me explain so others don’t get bad information. 2010 and older can not be recalibrated with forscan!!!! 2011 and up you can. If no one believes me, go buy the FORscan and try it on anything 2010 an older and post here. I can promise you it will not work on anything 2010 and older.

FWIW I tried changing tire size with Forscan on my 2013 and could only get factory sizes available for my truck, my truck did not come with anything close to 35's which is what I have. I had to use an sctx4 programmer to get the speedo correct. 09-10 trucks are sol with Forscan that I'm aware of because they don't have a body control module (BCM) like 2011> trucks do. 09-10 have a generic electronic module (GEM) and/or smart junction box (SJB)

I also have IDS which is what Ford dealers use and that's a no go as well. Programmer is the only thing that worked for me which is ok as I also have custom tunes that wake the truck up.

That's what I said, I was getting wrong information!! Geez man, lighten up.

Time and time again I read in threads on different forums that 2013 and earlier could not be reprogrammed with Forscan. My post above was to say that 2013 can be done, I did it.

Forscan and the license are free, nothing to buy. Please don't spread misinformation.

There's 2 different ways to use Forscan on the 2013 to change tire size. It sounds like you accessed the non-As Built BCM and tried to pick a listed tire size. You're right, only the factory installed tire sizes are listed and if your size isn't there then you'd have to go to Method #2. A tire size calculator was developed, seen here - > https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...EqU/edit#gid=0. Follow the instructions for copying exactly to use. You have to have a google acct to copy it. Then use the chart here -> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...gid=1741285730 to enter your calculated value in the place listed.

Note- I tried both methods and was able to change the value(s) but the change wouldn't "take", i.e., the speedometer was still wrong. You have to do a PCM Relearn. It's listed just like the modules are in Forscan, near the top. Click it and follow the on-screen instructions, very simple. After that I cleared the DTC codes and poof! Speedometer is right.

When I tried it was way before anyone had made any spreadsheets so the only items I knew about were the options listed and I had the sctx4 anyway so I used it instead. FYI, I was one of the people that provided a lot of info for the 09-14 spreadsheet.

I'm glad I found this thread.

So, my speedo is definitely off because the 275-65 R18 circumference setting from the factory is wrong for my tires.

My vehicle is a 2016 Expy and when I look at the values in the BCM as-built, 726-12-01 is definitely not the place for tire circumference.
Based upon what I read, 2015-2017 are supposed to be the same location.

Has anyone with a 2016 changed circumference?
Is there a spreadsheet for the 2016?
Does anyone have the location to change?
