here's a good question for all the blue oval friends. i own a 1989 F-350 4x4 351 windsor, c-6 automatic, regular cab, 9,000 lb.gross, single rear axle. and it's a canadian manufactured truck. how can i go aabout getting one of the original emission labels for it. my truck on the plastic molded air intake piece. this is the piece that goes from the core support to the bottom of the air box. any one that has one of these knows what i mean. now on the front top section of this piece right where it starts, there was a emission label that said and i quote " that this truck is exempt from any and all of the cleaan air act laws for emission tests. basically this truck doesn't have to be tested anywhere in the 50 states. i have since lost this label and i wouldn't where to start my search. trying to explain to someone that there vehicle does not have to be tested is not easy, since everyone i talked to says that you know all newer cars and trucks have to be checked. been running this truck for a long time with out the cats. runs great.. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks,, Ray....
Ray , check with Ford Parts for the label. None of the provinces have any emission testing ? I figured maybe Ontario would have some form of testing by now esp in & around Toronto
Paul. Ontario has had emissions testing in and around the Toronto area for three years now. It goes province wide during 2001. The truth is your vehicle really has to be a POS to not pass the testing. Better to get those fixed or off the road because chances are they are not safe either.

Ask the guys at the dealership parts dept. they should be able to order you some new underhood decals. But, this is important. You must have your vin number. That is the only way the dealership will order them for you! I have looked into this myself, after I did my engine swap. And with the way things are going I will have to order some for myself. I guess I'll have to find a truck that came with a 302 and use it's vin so I can order them!
hey all, i've checked with my local ford parts dealers and they look at me like i'm kidding, so i've been searching the web in canada and i've left a couple of e-mails at a couple of ford dealers up there i figure hopefully they can give some info. since there in canada.

If nothing else pans out call Tommie Vaughn Ford in Houston Texas. Talk to Mr. Rabel! That's the guy who has been the biggest help to me, in the 4 years I've had this truck.
Last year, I went to replace the little float on the Fuel sending unit on my 88 F-150. Little brass float, no big deal right. Local dealer says "Nope, you have to buy a new sending unit, it's going to cost you $190!" Enter Mr. Rabel, I got his number in case I needed any specialized parts. "No problem, I have about 50 of them on the shelf back there. That'll be $5.00 please!"
Give me a hollar off list here, and I'll give you their number or numbers.
