Remote Starter System

Greetings,
I am looking for help in installing a remote starter/keyless entry system for my 1988 F150 351W. The instructions call for the primary and secondary ignition wires. I found the primary (supplies voltage for coil, misc relays, etc.) But I am unsure what the secondary ignition wire is for, or where it is? Has anyone ever installed one of these before?
Thanks for any help!
See ya

I've installed two of these. One in a 93 F150 and the other in a 94 Lincoln Mark VIII. There not hard to do if you have the wiring diagram for the vehicle. If you could scan and send me the instructions for yours I can probably tell you where to hook up your wires. I have the diagrams for the 93 trucks which should match as far as colors go. The Lincoln and the truck were almost identical.

I have installed starters in lots of different vehicle's. You should be able to go to the manufacturer's web site and download any special instuctions and a wiring diag for your truck. If I remember correctly the blower motor in Ford Truck's requires a seperate relay. If you cannot get the info from the manufacturer of your starter.Try this website http://www.designtech-intl.com/
If your still having Probs E-Mail me and I will E-mail the info you need back. What Brand Starter do you have?

The starter is made by Micro. It is model #START2001. I've never heard of them before, but it was a good deal
I don't have a scanner, but the instructions say:

Starter Motor Output: Connect to vehicles starter motor wire(The one to trigger the relay)

Primary Accessory: Connect to vehicles accessory circuit to power heater and air conditioner

Primary Ignition Output: Connect to vehicles primary ignition circuit.

Secondary Ignition: Connect to vehicles secondary ignition circuit.

The only wiring diagrams it came with are for 97+ and dont match my 88 at all.
So I need to find out which wires are the starter trigger, accessory, pri ignition, and secondary ignition(What exactly would secondary ignition be?)

Thanks VERY much for your help guys!

I got it! I finally went down and got an up-to-date chiltons with the wiring diagrams! That and the link you gave helped. Although, one of the wires is NOT the same color as the diagrams/website say. I will look again to see which one and post it for future ref.
Thanks again!
