Programming 2016 XLT after installing tow mirrors

I'm going to get my guy to try this on my 18 to see if this will get my puddle lights enabled. Anyone know what needs to be changed to get the spot lights enabled as well?

It should work if you have the 22 pin mirror connectors on your harnesses. The truck we copied was a 2019 with factory tow mirrors.
I'm not sure what's needed to make the spots work except the dash switch, another module and another harness for that switch.

Have you already installed the spotlight module and switches?

I have the module and switch installed but when he ran into trouble with the puddle lights he stopped there.

yes they are already installed.we went through the modules and #s according to the above and all mine match up with what's listed and the puddle lights still won't light up.

So with a 2018+ truck there is a wiring difference. After February 26th 2018 the ambient temp sensor was relocated to the passenger mirror. Are you using compatible mirrors?

The mirrors I'm using are off of my 2016 that I traded in on the 18.I have the 18 wiring installed because it was different then the 16 wiring I had.these mirrors are not tow mirrors but the normal ones.

You will need the 18+ passenger mirror for this to work due to the ambient sensor in the mirror.

Just passenger mirror, take a look at your original. Is the IAT in the bottom of it?

My original mirrors are non folding manual ones.I had a look at the bottom of it and didn't see any sensor there

my truck was built prior to this,
Feb8th,
does this still have an affect on which mirrors I need to use?
