Already bought the module. I hadn't looked under the dash for the pigtails first (I am a dummy). I can't find the grey, green, and blue connectors that hook into the module. My truck is an XL that didn't come with keyless entry stock but the ebay ad linked below made me think it possible. Has anyone added oem keyless entry module and fobs to their 02-04 XL Triton Superduty before (Diesels have different under dash harnesses I believe).
Here is pic of module I bought:
Here is pic of module in its new home: - I went ahead and installed it under my dash even though its not hooked to anything yet since I can't find the connectors.
Here is how it is supposed to be hooked up under the dash:

I thought about doing this with my 06, but paused because I did not have the module and the wiring to the door is different. Would need to replace wiring harness. Haven't written it off yet, but will not start until I have all the parts/wiring. Also would like the keypad in the door, would prefer the factory keypad as opposed to the stick on one.
Having a doner vehicle would be the best way to accomplish this
Does your truck have the door lock actuators? If you do not have the ability to press a button on the front door consoles/arm rest to lock or unlock the doors, you are in for a lot of work and expense to add all the parts and wiring.

Yes sir I do have the OEM lock actuators! This XL in question even came with power mirrors. I have owned fords with manual cranks and locks before. Never again will I own a truck without power windows and locks (I can live without keyless entry).

Ehhhhh I am probably bailing on this plan and reselling the parts on ebay if it needs a whole new under dash harness swap. - I rather devote the time to fixing other items. I appreciate the info. I can live without the keyless entry. I never use the keypad on my 2012 so I wouldn't add the stick on keypad to the superduty. It does seem based off the reviews on amazon the newer OEM version of the keypad sold nowadays for our trucks seem to be superior to the ones available when our trucks first came out. - as far as battery life is concerned.
Why not investigate an aftermarket remote start. They include power door lock functions. That might be easier to install than the factory setup.
The main reason is I am cheappppp.... I am trying and have been succeeding with my overall budget of $4500 all in on the truck after TTL and upgrades I want. Another $300 is a big swing considering what I have in the truck overall. I am almost done getting the truck where I want it to be but I still need to fix a few more things such as the valve cover oil leak and the seepage from the rear seal/bearing on the transmission. Basically I think the time and money is better spent elsewhere on the truck to stay on budget (only way I can justify keeping so many trucks, I need a car hoarding intervention....). I got lariat leather seats for only $300 on facebook (still need new bottom seat cover on drivers side) and rather have leather seats, my weathergaurd toolbox, and my turn signal tow mirrors, than keyless entry.
2nd reason(s): Have had bad luck with Viper/Direct Electronics in the past and it causing electrical issues with two previously owned vehicles. DE makes all the aftermarket stuff. I am adverse to cutting into a stock harness unless necessary in my 30's. Had you asked me when I was 18 I would have valued the remote start/keyless entry more than the money and time aspect.
3rd reason: I live in TX. Remote start is nice for A/c purposes but otherwise not a necessity.
